European Salary survey 2011
European Union (EU) wage
inflation is running at zero 28 April 2011
to five per cent; within most
corporations the median is 3pc.
Executive talent has been rewarded
by significant increases in bonus and
executive remuneration within the
top three levels pay grades with basic
salaries increasing by up to 25 per
cent. The top CSOs mostly qualify
for the highest level of corporate
bonus pool, over and above their own
personal bonus. The average personal
bonus paid this year is in the region
of 35 to 50pc against 20pc in 2010.
Also, the corporate bonus pool can
be up to 100 per cent of salary which
takes the total remuneration package
in excess of £400k.
Concerns of the Corporate Security Officer
During their 2011 compensation survey of CSOs, SSR Executive Profiles asked 28 April 2011
them to identify
challenges for 2012-13 . The survey reflects those in operating
in the UK and Internationally.
Domestic concerns for 2012 are dominated by the
Olympics and the forthcoming Bribery Act.
Ever growing dangers of counterfeit
products that kill , maim or just dilute profits are
concerning as this may be
accompanied by trading in riskier counties . But at Board level the
dashboard
prioritises the environment & sustainability.

Dealing with the expected Risks & European Salary Survey 2010
What value do we put on forecasting the expected, volcanic ash, 1 September 2010

ith the employment downturn in many
regions of the world, it would be an
expectation that recruiting the right person for
that next job would be easy! For the
security

Security is that
misunderstood word
which holistically means
‘health’ rather than the
traditional non-pragmatic
‘response function’. In the
current economic conditions
there will be opportunities for
you to deliver greater benefits
than in the past.
In 2009 security executives
are an organisation’s health
advisors, measuring many risks,
identifying the potential
outcomes, mitigation and
defending the reputation of the
organisation’s brand.

Getting a Job in the UK Security Industry
Security is high on the UK agenda and now there is virtually no
major public 08 September 2008
or private organisation without a team dedicated to
managing issues of
security. The market is strong and rapidly
expanding.
Operational managers, like most of us, tend to spend little of
their time recruiting 17 July 2008
people and so often have a view of recruitment that is based on
their own
situation and background and not impartial, says Peter French, of
recruitment
firm SSR®.
For the Olympics you have to develop an approach to a security
culture
that

balances volunteers and paid workers to cover the functions of
security,
supervised by technology.
The short listing of candidates from the multiplicitous CVs that

departments every day was, just a few blinks of an eyebrow ago, a
moribund
subject.
